A lot of people don't realize how important it is to market and promote your song especially marketing. Now who are you marketing to think about that, who I've mentioned this before, but who are you trying to get your music to? To buy or to stream it? Is it the 30 plus crowd? Is it the 13 and up crowd? Is that the 65 plus crowd? Are you like an old school rock and roller? Or are you in for the younger generation, you got to get to this market. And a lot of people have this misconception that, you know, if they make a great catchy song, it's just going to basically market itself and promote itself. Once people hear it, they're going to be like, Oh my god, but that is very wrong. And you should not just think like that it takes time to market and promote a song, it's most likely not going to happen overnight. It's probably not going to happen in a week or even a month unless you get really lucky and something just takes off like that. But it does not generally happen like that. But I have a strategy I'm going to tell you that you should use to get your music out there and try to build a fan base. Now first off, think of goals. So let's say you like okay, for the next year on I'm going to promote a new single every three months. So drop the single promoted and market the hell out of it for three months. And that means obviously it'll be you know, three or distributors so marketed promoted for three solid months to try to get it out there. And that means making sure it's on Tik Tok and promoting the hell out of it on there. Because I'm not bullshitting you guys, Tik Tok is the new way to sell and stream music. This is how you get a fan base. It's through Tik Tok, this is the way Yes, all the traditional means are still there. But Tik Tok is where it's at right now. So you mainly want to focus on social media, Tik Tok, first and foremost, of course, YouTube if you do a video or a lyric video, and then of course, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, but do the Tik Tok thing if your music on Tik Tok takes off, it'll go viral, but it takes time in a first you don't succeed. Try and try again. That's why I'm saying take a full year, drop something every three months, in all three months, send it to media influencers, social media influencers, send it to people on Tik Tok, I did a video on some websites you could go to and you could decide who you kind of want your influencer to be it'll give you how many subscribers they have on tik tok, or Facebook or Instagram. And you could offer your song to them for some money, of course. And keep that in mind. Nothing is free. It's called a budget. And it's a promotional and marketing budget. So you're gonna have to spend some money to do this, right. So you need to get it out to these influencers, have them do a dance to it, have them played in the background, with that sound in their video on their Tik Tok. And hopefully you can get gained some momentum there and it'll snowball into a viral video. Even if it doesn't become hugely viral, you can still pick up some fans and get a decent sized fan base by doing this. So marketed and promoted on all the social media platforms especially Tik Tok for three months. If it goes out of control viral, great. If it does, okay, great time to release a new single. Keep doing that every three months the same process. Also, don't forget to make sure you give your distributor enough time to do these dates, you generally want to present your song to your distributor, turn it into them about a month in advance. That way they have time to get it on all the platforms, all the streaming sites everything, and you have time to start building a pipe. But you got to keep track if you're going to do this every three months because once you're kind of done with one song promoting, you should have already submitted to your distributor the new song that's coming up that you're going to start doing again for another three months. So keep that in mind you need to write a plan to do this like an outline even you need to do this stay on top of it and you will gain traction you will start gaining fans do it for a whole year. And you will see then if you become hot enough after that year, that's when you drop an album or you could still drop singles the dependents but you could throw an album out them if they're feeding for your music after a year. But like I said, if they're not keep doing singles, just don't give up. Keep going. Keep trying Tik Tok keep spreading the news on your social media. Do this for a full year.
